Samania Young is a dedicated and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) currently working in the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) department at San Juan Unified School District. With over a decade of experience in the field, Samania has worked in a variety of educational settings, including Sacramento City Unified School District, Mt. Diablo Unified School District, Oakland Unified School District, and Castro Valley Unified School District. Her background includes providing behavioral support and intervention services, conducting functional behavior assessments (FBA), and developing individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to help students with diverse needs. Samania is passionate about training and supporting staff in the implementation of evidence-based behavioral strategies, while also creating systems that promote student success and well-being. She has contributed to the development of data-driven interventions, collaborated with IEP teams, and provided professional development to enhance behavioral practices district-wide. Samania holds a Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification, a Graduate Certificate in Behavioral Intervention in Autism from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and a Master of Arts in Education from Pepperdine University.
